fast, fluent, idiomatic

My background
My initial training was at Cambridge, where I read Modern & Medieval Languages. After taking my MA in 1977 and following short-term jobs in Berlin (KaDeWe), Bad Godesberg (Powell & Co) and Bremen (VFW Fokker), I taught German and French for 35 years in the secondary sector. Throughout that period I translated texts relating to music, including French and German articles for the Wagner Society journal. I am now working freelance as a translator across a wide field of specialist areas: commercial and tourist-related, as well as academic and literary.
